It appears Cody Simpson is well and truly back in the dating game, two months after news of his split from Aussie Olympic swimmer Emma McKeon, 31, first broke.
Simpson, 29, has made a number of very public references to his single status, this week posting a callout for any “disco queens” who “wanna go and spin around a room somewhere” to his Instagram.
He has also detailed a flirty interaction with a fan, revealing his cheeky response after she slid into his DMs.

Appearing on the We Mean Well podcast, Simpson shared an anecdote about the encounter, which began as an innocuous mother-son dinner outing in Sydney.
His trip to a Bondi-based sushi hotspot later resulted in a very flirty interaction after he caught the eye of a girl who appeared be there “on a first date.”
“This girl … she starts ‘playing eyes’ with me and she’s really cute,” Simpson began.

He admitted that while he wanted to approach her, he felt interrupting their date would have been crossing a line.
As the star-struck girl in question continued to stare at the singer, he came to the conclusion her date “couldn’t have been going very well.”
While he soon lost sight of her for the remainder of the night, he was surprised to find a decidedly flirty message in his inbox the next morning.

“I woke up to a DM saying, ‘Did you get the spicy tuna roll?'” the singer recalled with a laugh.
The star then offered a simple but cheeky response, asking, “Date no good?”
Simpson’s earlier Instagram post outwardly signalling his single-ness has also stirred buzz among fans, with the video of him decked out in an all-black flare suit captioned: “Going out tonight. Spring is here. Ladies are wearing flares again…”
“Might catch a vibe. Don’t rein me in,” he concluded the caption, referencing Olivia Dean and Sam Fender’s hit single alluding to a lack of emotional availability.
According to the Daily Telegraph, the singer and his Olympic gold medallist girlfriend quietly split at the end of last year, with a source close to the former couple claiming they remain “good friends.”
Simpson and McKeon had been together since 2022.
