In a rare move, Nicole Richie has made a red carpet appearance alongside her daughter, Kate, who formerly went by the name Harlow.
They last appeared together in 2024 – prior to the now-18 year old’s drastic identity change.
The mother-daughter duo attended the premiere of Stop! That! Train! In Los Angeles, posing for a sweet photo-op together in the process.

The pair coordinated matching dark looks, with Nicole, 44, donning a black and white polka dot number, while her daughter opted for a strapless leather dress and matching knee-high boots.
Kate, who recently went to Coachella with pals, posed for snaps alongside her mum as they arrived.
The outing was one we don’t often see from the duo and has come months after Nicole confirmed that she was going by Kate these days.

Nicole addressed the name change for the first time, posting a sweet tribute to her teenager on Instagram to commemorate her 18th birthday.
In acknowledgement of the milestone, she shared a series of throwback photos of her daughter, notably tagging her as “Kate” for the first time ever.
”18 years of you ♥️🎂 @katemaddenn,” the reality star wrote.
Her husband of over 15 years Joel Madden also sharing his love for their daughter.
“That’s my girl,” the Good Charlotte singer and proud dad commented in response to the post.
The series of snaps highlighted the teen’s transition from her honey-blond locks to dyed Jet-black hair – in addition to her new name.
Fans were quick to notice the change, with one asking “Did she change her name?” And another replying, “I was thinking that myself, wasn’t it Harlow?”
Previously speaking on the subject to People, Nicole confirmed her daughter had gone by a different name “her whole life.”
“Yeah, she goes by her middle name,” she added when asked about the reaction online from surprised fans.
In addition to the sweet comment from her father, Kate’s rocker uncle Benji Madden, who is married to Cameron Diaz, also expressed well-wishes for his niece.
“How to make a grown man cry! love you Kate! You’re a bad a–! Never forget it! Happy 18!”
The couple also share a 16-year-old son, Sparrow.
