In a candid conversation on the I Do, Part Two podcast with Jenn Fessler, Real Housewives of New Jersey star Dolores Catania and her longtime boyfriend, Paul Connell, opened up about their relationship and shared their perspectives on a topic that’s been making headlines recently: prenups.

Jenn Fessler, brought up the subject of prenups to the couple. She asked, “So how about this kind of hot spot right now, we’re hearing a lot about prenups. So I want to know your thoughts on prenups?”
Paul Connell, not mincing words, responded with honesty: “Honestly, we haven’t even spoke about a prenup only because I mean, it’s not even a, people say it’s a real conversation but it’s really not. I mean, you go into something with that mindset, you’re already you’re in a different place already. I’m not thinking like that, are you?”
Dolores Catania was quick to back him up, saying, “No,” reinforcing that they weren’t focused on legalities or financial protection in their relationship. The couple seemed to view the idea of a prenup as unnecessary at this point.
Paul went on to clarify his point: “And I’m not saying—and I’m watching what’s going on in the world and all these things that are happening. I’m not saying they’re not good for you and they don’t protect you.” While acknowledging that prenups might be useful in certain circumstances, Paul emphasized that their relationship was in a different space—one where a prenup wasn’t needed.

Dolores echoed the same sentiment, stating simply, “We’re not there.” The couple seemed to be more focused on enjoying the present rather than preparing for potential future complications.
When the conversation shifted, Paul added a more lighthearted note, joking, “The biggest thing that we have to figure out is, you know, where we go on a vacation.” Dolores agreed, laughing, “We like that right now. I’m good.”
Their relaxed and playful dynamic showed just how in sync they are, and it was clear that their relationship was rooted in trust and mutual understanding—not legal contracts.
