It seemed like Sydney Sweeney was constantly in the headlines last year.
The American star, 28, who is rumoured to be dating former talent manager Scooter Braun, sparked controversy with her American Eagle jeans ad and then won over viewers with her appearance in the hit 2025 thriller film, The Housemaid, alongside actress Amanda Seyfried.
It’s been reported that the film found so much success that a sequel is in the works, and that Kirsten Dunst will be joining the project, which is based on Freida McFadden’s book series.
In January this year, the Euphoria actress announced her new sultry lingerie line, called Syrn, and it seems the Hollywood star is laughing all the way to the bank, thanks to the line and her body of work.
And she sure has come a long way from her early days on TV!

Celebrity Net Worth estimates her fortune totals a cool $US40million, or $57million, and that she took home $US7.5million or $10.5million for The Housemaid.
Per The Sun the actress “quadrupled” her wealth only recently, with the lingerie line helping to boost her fortune from $US10 million (approximately $14 million) to $US40 million in just two years.
Her fortune reportedly also comes from her roles and lucrative deals with brands including Armani Beauty.
“The secret is finally out… say hello to @syrn 🤍 this is lingerie you wear for YOU, no explanation, no apology,” a post from Sweeney reads from around the January launch.
“SYRN is coming for you on 1.28 sign up now for early access at SYRN.com there’s soo much more I can’t wait to show you . xoxo, Syd.”

Like other actors in Hollywood, including Australia’s very own, Margot Robbie, has her own own production company, called Fifty-Fifty Films, which she set up in 2020.
She told Teen Vogue: ”I would never want to have my name or company just slapped on something because I want it slapped on. I will be doing the heavy lifting.”
She said she wants to work with authors to help get their works on the big screen and called making their dreams come true as “amazing”.

Sweeney, who has appeared in the likes of The White Lotus and The Handmaid’s Tale and Everything Sucks!, spoke about her salary back in 2022.
“If I wanted to take a six-month break, I don’t have income to cover that,” she told The Hollywood Reporter at the time.
“They don’t pay actors like they used to, and with streamers, you no longer get residuals.”
She added at the time that certain percentages of her income go to her team like her publicist and lawyer.

Sweeney also revealed some financial troubles that her parents endured while she was growing up and it made her determined to try and earn as much as she could to help her family.
They lived in a motel in Los Angeles at one point, as she pursued her acting career.
“But when I turned 18, I only had $US800 to my name. My parents weren’t back together and there was nothing I could do to help.”

She reportedly earned $US350,000 ($500,000) to return to the second season of Euphoria.
Sweeney now has a thriving property portfolio.
She owns a $US13.5 million sprawling waterfront mansion in Florida, approximately $19 million, as well as a multi-million dollar property in LA.

According to The US Sun, she and ex Jonathan Davino are renovating a property they purchased together in Bel Air, LA, which they snapped up in 2023 before breaking up.
In an interview with GQ, from last year, Sweeney said she remains grounded despite her growing fame.

Asked, “Did your sense of your own fame change this year?” she replied, “No,” crediting the people around her for this.
“They take me out of Hollywood, take me out of this bubble and remind me what the real world is and that that’s where I exist,” she added.
